Why Roof Maintenance
Isn’t What You Think It Is
When you Google ‘roof maintenance services,’ you probably see a lot of results that announce cheap annual roof maintenance packages.
Psh.
You don’t need an annual service – you simply need to keep an eye out for the following:
- Curling or missing shingles.
- Leaks.
- Warping in the roof material.
- Granule loss.
- Gutters full of sediment.
If you notice any of the above, you either need a quick repair or a full re-roof.
As for cleaning – the only type of roof that requires consistent cleaning is a cedar shake roof.
Pressure-washing other types of roof can destroy them (unless they’re metal).
Does Your Roof Have Proper Ventilation?
